Maintenance Planner

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work with the overall objective of minimizing downtime and maintenance cost by maximizing maintenance workforce efficiency and productivity. This includes turnaround activities.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Scheduling all planned maintenance activity
  • Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the preventive maintenance program
  • Interfacing with other departments to prepare for upcoming work such as equipment preparation by operations staff and parts availability coordinated with the warehouse and purchasing department
  • Performing administrative duties in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Responsible to monitor costs to ensure that charges are within budget, allocated correctly and actual manpower levels are consistent with plans
  • Responsible for organizing cost, schedule, and performance reporting to communicate maintenance performance to management
  • Responsible for collecting and archiving all relevant data on cost and schedule performance metrics for future reference
  • Ability to create and maintain equipment hierarchy in the CMMS based on standard equipment structures
  • Create and implement standard maintenance planning/scheduling procedures to improve staff efficiencies
  • Lead planning meetings
  • Create pm/pdm plans
  • Develop and maintain maintenance scorecards

Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree in a technical field and/or minimum 3 years of maintenance scheduling/planning experience 
  •  Experience in an industrial environment preferred
  •  Electrical/mechanical aptitude preferred
  •   Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, specifically InforEAM
  • Strong understanding of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  •  Project management and capital project experience preferred
